Mercedes BlueZERO concept allows three different drivetrains to be used in the same chassis. The E-CELL is battery-electric, the E-CELL PLUS is a series-hybrid, and the F-CELL uses a hydrogen fuel cell.

Electric car maker Th!nk has secured $47 million in new financing and exited bankruptcy protection. The Th!nk City, a small sedan with a range of about 100 miles, will now be made in Finland at the Valmet Automotive plant.

Honda has begun deliveries of the FCX Clarity hydrogen fuel cell vehicle. The company will only produce about 200 units a year, but it's the first hydrogen-powered passenger car to be commercially produced and driven by members of the general public. Honda is not selling the FCX Clarity, only leasing it in California and Japan. The three year contract will be $600/month, including maintenance and insurance. Only those living close enough to the few hydrogen refueling stations in Torrance, Santa Monica, and Irvine qualify for the lease.
